Empoorio was founded on the belief that people should control their data — encrypted locally, stored on decentralized providers, and settled on EmpoorioChain without Big Tech lock-in. Today we are building Ouranoos, the decentralized cloud layer for wallets, providers, and the whole Empoorio ecosystem.
Ouranoos delivers decentralized cloud storage — client-side encryption, P2P marketplace, and Eoonia billing on EmpoorioChain. You will ship features used across the Empoorio ecosystem. We are looking for a talented, driven engineer to advance Ouranoos capabilities and deliver production-quality identity infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Build and maintain SDKs, APIs, and developer tooling for issuers, holders, and verifiers
- Ship production features with observability, integration tests, and clear upgrade paths
- Partner with ecosystem teams on credential schemas and end-to-end integration flows
- Improve developer experience — samples, CLI workflows, and CI-friendly test harnesses
- Participate in on-call rotation for public identity services where applicable
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent practical experience
- 2+ years of professional experience in software engineering, security, or distributed systems (1+ for specialist IC tracks)
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote-first, async collaboration environment
- Fluency in English for documentation, reviews, and partner communication
Preferred skills and experience
- Experience with W3C Verifiable Credentials, DIDs, or OIDC4VCI / OIDC4VP
- Contributions to Rust, TypeScript, Python, or Dart codebases used in production
- Exposure to Substrate, Polkadot ecosystem, or blockchain anchoring patterns
- Background in privacy engineering, applied cryptography, or formal security reviews
- Prior work with wallet, fintech, or enterprise identity integrations
Additional requirements
- Willing to overlap with EU and Americas time zones for critical releases and incidents
- Able to travel up to 10% for team summits, partner workshops, or conferences
- Reliable home internet and secure workstation suitable for development on sensitive cryptography code
